Known for its excellent coffee. This hole in the wall in Vasastan is considered by many to be one of Stockholm’s best cafes.
The people here were anything but rude, maybe Leo hit the place on a bad day because we had a warm welcome from a very friendly barrista. Excellent coffee, too.
I thought, after leaving Amsterdam behind, that I had finally escaped rude and arrogant restaurant personnel... Ok, Mellqvist has nice coffee and foremost their sandwiches are very nice but the staff can be best described as self-proclaimed hip and hugely arrogant. Which, might I say, often also applies to many customers that hang around. What's wrong with that old fashioned smile and sweetness that attracted me to Stockholm in the first place? Maybe Mellqvist should apply the same care for their customers as they do for their coffee...
