Perfect day on the Stromaren lake :)

It started with a rainy day but that made the ice only more smooth.

After having almost no ice-skating experience 20 KM felt like a breeze.

The kick of crackling ice and speed made it even more fun.

A fantastic experience!

In winter, when the surrounding lakes and sea freeze, Stockholm reveals a unique attraction: Long distance ice skating tours (Långfärdsskridskoturer) allows you to experience Stockholm from a very different side! Joakim is super friendly guy that provides you with an all-inclusive package: Skating and safety material (even a set of extra clothes in case you take an unexpected dip :-) ), lunch box, transportation, guiding and instructions, interesting background information but most of all a fantastic experience. The only thing you have to do is to show up dressed in winter clothes that allow activity (e.g. no jeans etc.). I joined Joakim on two of his tours and enjoyed every second of them. And I will do it again as soon as I get the chance. So I'm happy to give my warmest recommendations!

Ice Guide

A fantastic experience skating through Stockholm,a great day out in nature with a serious and happy guide,not forgetting the smell of the orange as you peel it at lunch while sitting and looking across the glades,quite simply everyone should try this !!!
