Thorough exhibits

Exhibits are well thought out, displayed artfully, intriguing, and in the case of the Sally Mann exhibit I saw, supplemented by an informative film, which interviewed her and showed the artist at work. Very cool!

This place is amazing. Free with the Stockholm 72 hour card. Beyond worth the short journey across the water. Just a great museum, with breathtaking pictures presented perfectly, nice, bilingual information and a wonderful exhibition on ePic Olympics moments. The film at the begining of the exhibition was sensational. As for the rest of the place, the cafe is great and has great views and food, and i could've spent hours in the shop which was big and interesting. The place was busy without being too crowded. Just right and well worth your money

We were in Stockholm in July. The Photography-space was good, the view was the best thing we had on our trip. We are planning next summer in Stockholm and Umeå and we will visit this again i can promise.

Robert Mapplethorpe 17 June - 2 October 2011

Robert Mapplethorpe (1946-1989) is seen by many as one of the most important photographers of the twentieth century. In an extensive retrospective exhibition Fotografiska will introduce Mapplethorpe to new generations and present him anew to the already convinced. Nearly 200 works will be shown, and many of them have never been exhibited in Sweden before.
