Exhibition: Strindberg in the center

Strindberg was a great influence on society in the 19th century. This comprehensive exhibition illustrates his life, literature and art as well as his political opinions and the controversies surrounding him.

It's been 100 years since one of Sweden's most celebated writers and playwrights, August Strindberg, passed away. 2012 has been appointed The Strindberg Year, with plenty of events, especially in his hometown, Stockholm, which was many times the backdrop of his stories. "Strindberg in the center" is The Strindberg Museum's new permanent exhibition. The Strindberg Museum is located in Strindbergs former apartment, where he lived the last years of his life.

This is an ongoing exhibition throughout 2012.
