The best brunch in Stockholm

Did you have a late night? Or just a well-deserved sleep-in? Either way, weekends are perfect for indulging in a tasty brunch. Quite a few Stockholm restaurants, hotels, and even museums serve wonderful buffets. Some are classically Swedish, others are typically American, and a few serve brunch with a twist. Here are some tips to leave you full and satisfied.

Kungsholmen and Vasastan

• Boulebar Rådhuset & Boulebar Rålambshov – French-inspired brunch served weekends. A game of pétanque is included in the price! (Note that the Rålambshov one is only open during the summer season.)
• Gast – Stylish and minimalist café located on Rådmansgatan. Classic brunch dishes are on the menu daily, like pancakes, yogurt with granola, and Caesar salad.
• Greasy Spoon – Hearty breakfast and lunch dishes served all day. Has four locations in Stockholm; Södermalm, Kungsholmen, City, and Vasastan.

• Berns Asiatiska – Asian restaurant at the storied entertainment palace Berns Salonger. Serves a popular Asian brunch menu during weekends, complimented by a brunch buffet.

Södermalm and southern Stockholm

• Bistro Rival – Popular brunch buffet in cinema-turned-hotel on Mariatorget. Beef tartar, avocado sandwiches, poached eggs, and fresh bread from St. Pauls Bageri.
• Bitza – Pizzeria in Hornstull with a Palestinian twist. Has a weekend brunch menu with its unique pizzas and other traditional dishes and flavors.
• Bleck – Family-friendly restaurant near Blecktorn Park on Södermalm.
• Boulebar Tanto French-inspired brunch served weekends. A game of pétanque is included in the price!
• Chelas – Mexican restaurant in Hornstull with spicy and flavorful classics. The weekend brunch menu offers a variety of tacos, enchiladas, and molettes.

• Långbro Värdshus – Restaurant in the suburb of Älvsjö in southern Stockholm. Serves brunch buffet-style with a mix of traditional Swedish dishes and international favorites.
• Långholmens Wärdshus – Former prison turned into a hotel, located on the small island of Långholmen. Serves a weekend brunch of seasonal dishes and brunch classics.
• Nytorget Urban Deli – Hip deli and restaurant on Nytorget, with a brunch offering of sandwiches, chicken soup, fish stew, and Korean beef tartar.
• Pang Pang Festaurang – Pioneering Stockholm-based craft brewery with a bar in Hornstull. The weekend brunch menu includes oysters, crabcakes, pizza and boquerones.
