Restaurants on Kungsholmen

Find the best eateries for lunch or dinner on Kungsholmen.
Primarily a residential area, Kungsholmen also is the location of several municipal and national authorities (for example the Stockholm City Hall, The National Police headquarters, and the City Archives of Stockholm).
As such, a normal weekday on the island is quite busy so residents and workers alike need someplace to eat lunch or dinner. Luckily there's a broad selection of restaurants to choose from, especially along the streets of Hantverkargatan and Fleminggatan.
You'll find cherished local restaurants like the over 100-year-old Mäster Anders, a Stockholm institution, and the French bistro Bergamott, fine dining at Restaurang AG; and Mediterranean specialties at Trattorian and Xarcuteria.

During summertime, you'll find many great outdoor restaurants along the banks of Norr Mälarstrand and in Rålambshov's park. For example, Mälarpaviljongen, a popular LGBTI-friendly bar, and restaurant, and Boulebar Rålambshov combine drinks, food, and petanque. And a little bit further from central Kungsholmen is the wellness destination and restaurant Eden on Smedsudden, and Lux för en Dag on Lilla Essingen where fresh produce changes the daily menu.
A restaurant of note, for anyone interested in the Nobel Prize and banquet, is Stadshuskällaren located in the Stockholm City Hall. Here you can order any of the menus from past Nobel banquets, as long as you book a table at least two weeks in advance.
