The colourist Åke Göransson is one of the most important Swedish painters of the 20th century. Eighty years after his death, Liljevalchs+ is now showing the most comprehensive presentation of his work in 20 years. As a student at the Valand Art School in the mid-1920s, Åke Göransson understood restraint and streamlining as the path leading to great painting.
