The Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra plays the sadly neglected French composer Louise Farrenc’s exuberant Overture no. 1. It is followed by the Swedish premiere of Esa-Pekka Salonen's latest work, Kínēma. Soloist: principal clarinettist Niklas Andersson. The concert concludes with Ravel’s popular Suite no. 2, based on the ballet Daphnis et Chloé. All under the baton of the young British conductor Ben Glassberg.
