In collaboration with Kin Museum of Contemporary Art in Kiruna, Waldemarsudde presents this research-based and conceptual exhibition by and of Swedish artist Matts Leiderstam (b. 1956). In the prince’s spacious studio on the top floor of the residence, Leiderstam focusses on the inception and significance of Eugen’s striking altar painting from 1912 for Kiruna Church, but also on the work’s relationship to the landscape, lightning conditions and the performative.

The first boundary-breaking weaving exhibition that celebrates the artistry, craftsmanship, and magic of the loom. Featuring 33 remarkable artists, the exhibition brings together legendary Swedish textile pioneers such as Märta Måås-Fjetterström, Barbro Nilsson, and Viola Gråsten, alongside contemporary voices including Andreas Eriksson, Emma Holmgren, Hans Thomsson, and Pia Ferm. Across generations and artistic styles, visitors encounter everything from the meditative rhythm of traditional rag rugs to monumental installations and groundbreaking conceptual works.

What is a national portrait collection – and what could it be? This winter’s exhibition features portraits from the National Portrait Gallery alongside paintings and sculptures from the Nationalmuseum’s broader collections. Iconic works such as The Lady with the Veil are shown together with contemporary portraits, including Mikael Jansson’s portrait of Max Martin and Marja Helander’s portrait of Britta Marakatt-Labba.

The Society Par Bricole shows the Bellman house from the 1700s with the rooms where Bellman lived from 1770 to 1774 and wrote most of Fredman&#x27;s Epistles. Our cicerone Bengt Nykvist tells us about Bellman and Stockholm in the 1700s when Par Bricole was formed. Our troubadour Magnus Koraen also performs some of Bellman&#x27;s songs and epistles. Admission: 150 Swedish Krona. Children under the age of 15 years - free.
