Mounted Horse Guard Parade

The horse guard parade proceeds from the Cavalry Barracks, along Lidingövägen – Stureplan – Nybroplan – Hamngatan – Regeringsgatan - Gustav Adolfs torg – Norrbro – Skeppsbron – Slottsbacken – Yttre borggården, the Royal Palace. At the palace, the changing of the guard takes place. A mounted guard parade always consists of a guard detachment from the Life Battalion and musicians from the Life Guards Dragoon Music Corps. The mounted escorts are the responsibility of the Life Battalion.
