Torleif Thedéen celebrates sixty years by performing Shostakovich’s Cello Concerto No. 2, first performed on the composer’s sixtieth birthday in 1966. The high point is Anton Bruckner’s wonderful Symphony No. 4 with its characteristic, haunting horn solo. It was the only symphony that Bruckner named – “The Romantic”. This is the conductor Ingo Metzmacher’s first guest performance with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra at Berwaldhallen.
