Grand on Sveavägen belonged to the Pentecostal Church in Stockholm, before being bought and turned into a movie theater by cinema magnate Anders Sandrew in 1933. Although it's been modernized several times in the following years, some of the cinema's design details have been left untouched. Like the ornate intarsia doors leading into the main auditorium. Grand is also infamous as the cinema where prime minister Olof Palme watched The Mozart Brothers, before being murdered on February 26 in 1986.
