Boulebar Rålis is located at the corner of Rålambshovsparken on Kungsholmen and a great place for a drink or two while playing some pétanque during the summer.The newly built restaurant is designed by architecture firm Bornstein Lyckefors and open year-round. Large glass sections reflect the shifting of seasons in the park. The menu offers classic French dishes and beverages for lunch, dinner, and brunch on the weekends. Perfect to go with a game of petanque, in other words.

Up for a game of petanque during fall or winter? Boulebar has several indoor locations as well. <a href="https://www.boulebar.se/bar-restaurang/radhuset-stockholm/">Boulebar Rådhuset</a> and <a href="https://www.boulebar.se/bar-restaurang/liljeholmen-stockholm">Boulebar Liljeholmen</a> for example.

Boulebar Tanto is a great place for hanging out in the summer; play some pétanque, eat and have a drink or two. Located by Tantolunden in Södermalm, overlooking the waterside of Årstaviken. The nearest subway stop is Hornstull. Boulebar Tanto opens up every may, and is open during the summer months.

The new Eriksdalsbadet baths replaced the old facilities in 1999 and were built during Stockholm’s application for the 2004 Olympic games. It’s the city’s largest and most modern swimming facilities with pools for recreational swimming, a gym and an aqua park with waterslides. Eriksdalsbadet is open every day of the week (with exception for certain holidays) and during the summer its open-air pools are a popular spot for families and recreational swimmers alike.

Combine a nice summer lunch or dinner with a fun round of miniature golf. Golfbaren Kristineberg har a course suited for both young golfers and old pros, and a menu with something for everyone. Golfbaren opens up in late spring every year (usually the end of April) and is open until the end of September.

Hammarbybacken ski resort

A Stockholm landmark, Hammarbybacken is a popular weekend destination for many Stockholmers during the winter months. Hammarbybacken is easy to reach, either by taking the Tvärbanan-tram to Sickla Kaj or bus number 74. There are five easy-to-ski downhill slopes, a snowboard park, ski school, equipment rental, and a café. The Park Inn Hotel Hammarby, “Stockholm’s first ski hotel,” is located at the foot of the slopes. For the rest of the year, Hammarbybacken is open for other activities including downhill cycling.

Located in the southern suburb of Högdalen (which quite literally translates to Highvalley), Highvalley Skateworld is a popular skate park with bowls, ditches, ramps, rails, and a kid area. The park regularly hosts competitions and festivals, like the annual Bowlstock. Although a public park, accessible all year-round, the renting booth and courses are only available during the spring and summer months. The park can be reached by taking the subway&#x27;s green line to Högdalen.

KD Court is a colorful public basketball court located in Tensta, in the Järva area of Stockholm. The court opened in 2023, and the project was initiated by basketball superstar Kevin Durant together with the organizations Brilliant Minds and Hoop Dreams.

Work up a good sweat at Klätterverket Gasverket. Either by normal indoors-climbing or bouldering (indoors climbing sans ropes). The courses are suitable for both beginners and pros, and Klätterverket regularly hosts courses and events for children.

At Mad Axe in central Stockholm, you and your friends (if you&#x27;re 18 or older) get to learn how to throw axes safely, and then compete against each other! There is currently no food for sale in the establishment, but you are free to bring your own refrehsments and snacks.

Visit Gary&#x27;s garage, take a ride in his rocket or play in any of the unique jungle gyms. And who knows, maybe Gary and Buffa will stop by while you&#x27;re there?

Don&#x27;t want to spend a beautiful day indoors in the gym? No worries, Stockholm has over 80 open-air gyms around town. Often near a park, the gyms are open to the public and free of charge. <a href="https://motionera.stockholm/hitta-utegym/">Check the city&#x27;s official map</a> to see where the nearest one is to your location.

Rålambshovsparken on Kungsholmen is a popular park for activities during the summer. The park is located between two popular residential areas, with a great view over Riddarfjärden, City Hall, and Gamla Stan. People come here to play soccer, boule, beach volleyball, softball or visit the skate park. During the summer you can also take part in an aerobics session, or take a swim in the waters of Lake Mälaren.

Tensta Parkour, in the northern suburb of Tensta, is Stockholm’s first public parkour course. Suitable for beginners and experienced athletes alike, it offers visitors a wide variety of obstacles to traverse and climb. The park located is just a short walk from Tensta station on the subway’s blue line.
