Probably the most unique feature of the museum is the copy of Sven-Harry’s former home, an 18th-century manor house, reconstructed on its premises. Visitors will be able to cross the threshold of Sven-Harry’s “home” and enjoy the art collection he has lovingly built up over the last 35 years. In the large bright art gallery, diverse, multifaceted exhibitions are shown, primarily by Swedish contemporary artists. There are regular tours and programs related to the ongoing exhibitions.

The Vasa ship capsized and sank in Stockholm 1628. After 333 years on the sea bed the mighty warship was salvaged and the voyage could continue. Today Vasa is the world's only preserved 17th century ship and the most visited museum in Scandinavia.

The Vasa is the best-preserved seventeenth-century ship in the world and a unique art treasure. More than 98 percent of the ship is original, and it is decorated with hundreds of carved sculptures.The 69 meter-long warship Vasa sank on its maiden voyage in Stockholm harbor in 1628 and was salvaged 333 years later in 1961. For nearly half a century the ship has been slowly, deliberately, and painstakingly restored to a state approaching its original glory. The three masts on the roof of the tailor-made museum show the height of the ship&#x27;s original masts.There are different exhibitions around the ship ranging from topics like life on board and its historical context. The film about the Vasa is shown in different languages. There is also an audio guide in different languages, to be used by visitors on their own mobile devices. The museum has free Wi-Fi. In addition, there is a well-stocked shop and a pleasant restaurant for lunch and fika. Free admission for children up to 18 years.
